Introduction

Hi Class!

My name is CK Moore. I come from Thailand. I started school in Fall 2005. I like to study and I think the more I study the more I will be smarter.

I taught elementary and junior high for 1 year, high school for 5 years, and undergraduates for 2 years in Thailand. I have never had any experience teaching American students. It is very challenging to teach Americans because they are confident and they are not afraid of giving their opinions. That is a lot different from Thai students.

I never had experience applying technology in Thai classrooms. I hope this class will help me understand educational technology better.

Purpose and Expectations
My purpose and expectations for taking this class are to learn and understand more about educational technology. I have not had any experiences in applying educational technology in my country, Thailand. Therefore, I hope this class will give me experience to get a chance to use the educational technology.

Reasons for obtaining my degree
I would like to teach in higher education such as a college or a university.

My current and future goals
My current goal is to understand educational technology better and also learn how to apply it. I would like to finish this class with a good grade and become more comfortable using technologies.

My future goal is to become a teacher in an educational technology field. Most people have asked me what I am going to teach after graduation. I think it is my problem because I have no idea what I am going to teach.

Development/draft of my educational technology philosophy
After reading the concepts of major philosophy, Pragmatism is my favorite philosophy. I believe individuals differentiate in learning, therefore a diversified curriculum and several ways of teaching are very important.

Meaning for me when working through activities/assignments this semester
It is to be able to gain more knowledge and credits for completing my degree program.
